The Miami Symphony Orchestra and its music director, Maestro Eduardo Marturet, proudly present the MISO Steinway Artist Season, a landmark celebration of the artistry, brilliance and legacy of Steinway & Sons through an extraordinary series of concerts centered on internationally acclaimed Steinway pianists and symphonic masterworks.

Led by Maestro Eduardo Marturet, the season transforms the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Knight Concert Hall into a showcase of virtuosic piano artistry, featuring celebrated soloists, multipiano collaborations, world premieres and iconic repertoire by Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Stravinsky, Brahms, Liszt, Khachaturian and others. From intimate musical dialogue to spectacular six-piano performances, the MISO Steinway Artists Season reflects the orchestra’s commitment to innovation, artistic excellence and unforgettable concert experiences that celebrate the cultural energy and diversity of Miami.

This Grand Season Opening marks the debut of the MISO Steinway Artist Season, featuring world-renowned pianist Tian Jiang in a performance of Rachmaninoff’s deeply romantic Piano Concerto No. 2. Framed by the brilliance of Shostakovich’s Festive Overture and the rhythmic power of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, this concert promises an unforgettable beginning to a historic season.

The evening features the South Florida premiere of LeFrak’s Lady Liberty Suite, a work filled with symbolism and majesty. The stage will ignite with double energy as renowned pianists Kevin Kenner and Vyacheslav Gryaznov join forces for Poulenc’s witty and inventive Concerto for Two Pianos. To conclude the program, the orchestra will perform Stravinsky’s Petrushka, a masterpiece of orchestral color and storytelling.

The evening opens with the South Florida premiere of Márquez’s Danzón No. 9, described as the soul of contemporary Latin American music. In a spectacular display of coordination and talent, three exceptional pianists—Kevin Kenner, Viet Trung Nguyen and Shuguan Gong—take the stage for Mozart’s Concerto No. 7 for Three Pianos. The program reaches its emotional peak with Brahms’ Symphony No. 3.

May 23 at 6 p.m.

Grand Season Finale - The Steinway Artist Series IV

MENDELSSOHN Concerto for Violin & Piano in D minor
KHACHATURIAN Piano Concerto in D-flat Major
MARTURET Miami Vice for Six Pianos (world premiere), a MISO 2027 commission
LISZT Hexameron for Six Pianos

The season concludes with Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin and Piano, featuring Daniel Andai and Ciro Fodere, followed by the fiery virtuosity of Khachaturian’s Piano Concerto. The grand climax features a “piano powerhouse” of six world-class soloists for the world premiere of Miami Vice for Six Pianos and the massive Hexameron by Liszt. Don’t miss this breathtaking display of symphonic force and pianistic brilliance.
