Miss USA Preliminary Competition

The Miss USA national preliminary competition celebrates 51 of the nation’s most accomplished and dynamic young women for a spectacular evening of beauty, poise and individuality.

Contestants take the stage in swimwear, showcasing their fitness, confidence and radiant presence in an energetic and empowering display that highlights each woman's dedication to health and self-care. The competition then transforms into pure glamour as the delegates glide across the stage in stunning evening gowns. Each gown tells a story reflecting the personality, taste and sophistication of the woman wearing it. Under the glow of the stage lights, these women embody elegance at its finest.

On the road to crowning the next Miss USA 2026, these two segments give judges a comprehensive look at each contestant's stage presence and ability to captivate an audience—critical qualities for the woman who will go on to represent the United States on the world stage at the 75th annual Miss Universe pageant this fall in Puerto Rico.

Please be seated at least 10 minutes before showtime. All late arrivals may be asked to wait for an appropriate break in the performance to be seated. To accommodate broadcast and camera requirements, empty seats cannot be held past showtime; latecomers may be reassigned to different seats.
